Ellen Bermudez
YIY YTT Graduate
Hi! I am Ellen Bermudez. I am an occupational therapist, yoga teacher, and a practitioner of mindfulness meditation. I believe that being fully engaged in the present moment, whether it’s a moment of strife, pain, or joy, is the path towards self-awareness, compassion, and understanding for ourselves and others. Pairing movement and breath through vinyasa yoga has been a powerful force that has connected my mind and body, grounded me in the present moment, and built both physical and mental strength and flexibility. Yoga has brought me joy, permission to listen to what my body needs, balance, and clarity. My goal as a yoga teacher is to allow others to have a safe place to be fully present with themselves and discover the benefits yoga may bring into their lives through listening to what they need, trusting themselves to leave behind what they don’t, and knowing when to push themselves to grow on the mat. And then to see how this carries over into other aspects of life! I welcome beginners and yogis of all levels. If you catch me out around town not doing yoga, you can find me walking my dogs, hiking, running, playing soccer, or watching the Grizz!
